Anthony Raymond Verrilli was born on March 15, 1923, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, his father, Antonio, was 24 and his mother, Josephine, was 20. He married Jeanne Elizabeth Bailey on July 4, 1953, in New Rochelle, New York. They had four children during their marriage. He died on March 29, 2013, in Danbury, Connecticut, at the age of 90. In Rye his family's address was 249 Central Ave and they were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Anthony enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Anthony R. Verrilli "Tony" passed away on March 29, 2013 at the age of 90. Mr. Verrilli was a resident of Maplewood Senior Living in Danbury, CT. He raised his family in Rye, NY, and was later a longtime resident of Heritage Hills in Somers, NY.

He was born on March 15, 1923 in Bridgeport, CT, the son of Anthony Rocco Verrilli and Josephine Morzello Verrilli. A graduate of Harrison High School Class of 1941 and the University of Missouri at Columbia Class of 1946 where he received his BA in Business Administration and Dairy Bacteriology. As a student, he became a member of Delta Sigma Pi: Alpha Beta Chapter and Beta Gamma Sigma. Mr. Verrilli also attended Harvard Law School and the University of Michigan Law School.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served in the US Army during WWII from 1944-1945. Long time area residents will remember the Verrilli family dairy company, Green Meadow Farms, where Tony worked before and after school and during the summer delivering milk and eggs while in high school and college. Mr. Verrilli managed various men's retail clothing stores such as Frost Men's Shop, Roger Kent, and Wallach's. In 1979, he changed careers and joined Houlihan Parnes as a commercial real estate broker until 1990, when he founded Verrilli Realty.

On July 4, 1953 he married his life partner of nearly 60 years, the former Jeanne Elizabeth Bailey at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Vernon, NY. Mr. Verrilli is survived by his wife Jeanne E. Verrilli and three children: son Mark Verrilli and wife Candida Miele of Manassas, VA and their children Derek, Mark Nicholas and Ryan Verrilli and great-granddaughter Hailey Marie Verrilli Banther; daughter Ellen Stevens and husband Dacy of Rye, NY and their children Michael Stevens and wife Federica Calo of Basel, Switzerland and Sarah Briggs and husband Thomas of Ann Arbor, MI; and son Ronald Verrilli and spouse Pamela Haub of St. Louis, MO and their children Brian and Marc Verrilli .

He was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Rose and Gloria. Tony will always be remembered as a man who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild and hobbies that included Super 8 films and videos of family, as well as writing novels, plays, and poems. The family will receive friends at a memorial wake to be held at the Graham Funeral Home on Saturday April 13, 2013 from 2 PM to 5 PM.
